Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time

We are not Christian; nor do we celebrate Christmas. AND we can certainly embrace the joy of the season and admire the jolly spirits around us. To that extent, we were happy to participate with some seasonal offerings within our own neighborhood. One neighbor puts on a beautifully choreographed musical and light show each year and twice a week includes a "snowstorm" for kids. We finally got ourselves coordinated enough to play in the snow!

Instead of Santa driving around on a firetruck throughout the neighborhood as typically happens each year, the fire department coordinated with the other emergency departments to plan an entire parade through the neighborhood. We had fun waving and watching (and collecting candy, of course)!

We took ourselves to 37th Street, a street well-known in Austin for its festive and wacky winter lights and decorations. It did not disappoint.

Joy to the Weird!
