Don't Turn 12

We were grateful, once again, to be able to drive into Houston for a weekend to help celebrate a Cohan birthday. They make strange claims that their house isn't ordinarily very loud, but it always sounds a certain way any time we show up...

Yes, Aunt Debbie drove from Austin with rising challah dough. Yes, Aunt Debbie carved out the number of honor for the weekend. Yes, newly-turned-12-year-old Jacob was WAAAAY too cool to take a picture with said masterpiece.

He finally succumbed to a selfie but remained too cool to have his awesome aunt join him for the picture.

I had 2 other gentlemen who appreciated my challah craft at least.

On Saturday afternoon, Jacob had another 12-year-old birthday part to attend at a trampoline park, so the rest of us came to play too and did our very best to leave the easily embarrassed SUPER COOL 12-year-olds alone.









But, of course, since it WAS actually Jacob's for real birthday, ice cream cake was definitely in order!

We remain grateful that we live just a few hours away from Team Cohan and can see them throughout the year for special (and any other) occasions.
