Ethan's Fabulous Fifth

When Ethan Robert woke up on September 4, he came running to me as excitedly as possible because he was finally a "WHOLE HAND!" He's growing beautifully, measuring 43 in. (52%) and weighing 45.4 lbs (70%). We did lots of special things throughout the day to make his 5th birthday extra fabulous.

After some carbolicious breakfast goodies saved from the weekend before (I believe it was meant to look like a "clown"), we headed to school to get fitted for his crown.

After lunch, I came back with mini-cupcakes for Ethan's school friends to enjoy and help celebrate with him. Spencer was grateful to participate in the pre-K fun!

Yes, the boys coordinated their Wiggles t-shirts. Yes, Spencer wore his mask all day.

After a dinner of Ethan's choosing - grilled cheese, tomato soup. and corn-on-the-cobb - he got his very own "High 5" ice cream cake (with gummy bear "E" inside)!

Ethan was excited and grateful for all of his presents. However, he certainly was surprised that they weren't ALL Wiggles presents. When he received a check from Gigi for a gift of his choosing - oh man - he knew EXACTLY what to get. It took 2 whole days of impatient waiting for the Wiggles piano to FINALLY arrive.
