Another Year of Fabulous

When Sandi and Alyssa crashed a girls night with me and Amira, little did I know what other surprises were in tow. Little did I know it was going to turn into a birthday celebration at all. Little did I know, Mira and Jacob had joined Sandi on a tour of downtown Austin, which included "obnoxious gift" and balloon choosing at Party City, table decorating at the Indian restaurant, and hijacking the improv performance at our comedy show. Yes, I received a poop pillow, My Little Pony ribbon badge to wear proudly, HUMONGOUS balloon with bright pink feather boa, and bright confetti and napkins already set up at our table. Yes, the comedienne at the downtown theater got the entire audience of 100 people to sing Happy Birthday to me. Yes, it was a fabulous surprise and a fabulous evening. Here's to another year of fabulous!

The next morning, I got to share the birthday love with other folks.

Mira made me her very own birthday card, detailing just how super duper cool I am. And since she loves extra attention so much, I included extra special pictures of her here giving her extra loving attention. (Disclaimer: sarcasm.)

You know you're a mom when your birthday cake is the half-eaten leftover cake you made for your son 2 days before. Happy 35 to me!
