Spring Has Sprung

We have lived in Austin for almost 5 years now, and March is - by far - my favorite month of the year. I brag about March in Austin. The temperature is a ridiculously comfortable 65-75 degrees, mostly sunny. Except 2019 attempted to rain on my March parade by having icky, wet, freezing weather the first half of the month. Nonetheless, the clouds parted and revealed the March that I look forward to every year and the beautiful bluebonnets that go along with a beautiful Texan spring.

When we went to take pictures with said bluebonnets (like you do), I had 2 very willing and bribe-able participants.

Let's just say it took several attempts, visits to the playground, and a very patient mother to even get him off my lap long enough to get these pitiful shots:

And then - for whatever reason, this toddler decided that he had had the right combination of snacks and stealing his mother's remaining sanity, and he snapped to reveal a perfectly pleasant little boy.

Be still my heart.

This little stinker...
