Purim

Purim was coming! In anticipation, we made some delicious homemade hamentashen, and I had 2 super helpers along the way.

First, we had to prepare the dough and roll it flat.

Then, we cut out circles and placed the filling in the middle.

Last, we pinched the corners to form the three-cornered cookies.

Delicious results!

The night of Purim arrived. We got our costumes on and went to shul for our fun-filled evening of carnival festivities. (Note to reader: Spider-man Spencer was diagnosed with a double ear infection that morning. He did not enjoy the celebration quite like the others.)

Queen Esther enjoyed the art activities of face painting, mask decorating, and grogger creating.

Big man Minnie Mouse was excited about his balloon dragon!

We heard Moses read the Megillah - very ahead of his time.

When it was time for the klezmer band to escort us from the carnival to the sanctuary, you can guess which 2 kiddos were at the front of the parade.

We enjoyed time with our SUPER cousins!

(And we enjoyed time with our other
gender-nonconforming costumed friends!
Yay, Queen Esther Jonah!)

Four out of five happy Cohens ain't bad. Chag Purim Sameach!
