July 2018

I don't know how it appears when viewing the blog, but when putting it together, I'm certainly reminded how busy we've been this month. BUT it's been a GREAT month with good things keeping us busy! This was our last full month before Spencer starts preschool, our last full month before Gabi starts Kindergarten, and the last month before Mommy starts a (VERY) part-time job. We had to squeeze it all in somewhere.

Spencer decided to become a real person who attempts language. He still isn't speaking and hardly has an amount of words one could comprehensibly understand. However, his vocalizations and gestures are much more intentional and varied than they once were, and it is quite adorable watching it develop (as it has been uniquely so with each of our other Cohen kiddos as well). Gabi and Ethan can get him to sign more consistently than either of his parents which is a combination of cute and frustrating.

(or two)

Yes, his face ran into his sister's foot on the playground-
his bad, obviously.

Spencer can often be seen "reading"
independently and turning pages.

Gabi and Spencer play nicely for the moment.
"gugga kooooo koooo!"

This month in, "You Know Your Baby is a Toddler When-"

He's going to need to figure out that his body doesn't need a morning nap before he starts school next month.

Pretty sure he's not supposed to be doing this...

Ethan is a happy boy. He's sweet. He loves everyone. He wants to make people happy.

Ready to take on anything:

My musical musicians:

Enjoying special Mommy-Gabi time:

How does a Sometimes Smart Mom creatively get rid of sugar cereal from the beach vacation?

My 3 feline baby girls continue to learn to coexist.

Fun with friends this month included:

girls night out! (Leora, Barbra, Debbie, Alyssa)

goofing off with Allison and Will

With help from Daddy, Nana, and Zayde, Mommy snuck off to Galveston for an adults-only Bachelorette/Birthday weekend for Mor!

Barbra and I enjoyed our drives together and special time at the beach before the crowd arrived.
