Mira's Birthday vs. The Plague of the Cohan House

Just as we have every other mid-May since moving to Texas a few years ago, Team Cohen (minus Daddy) trekked on down to Houston to help celebrate Mira's birthday with the Cohan and Kaye families. Everyone was alert, alive, awake, and enthusiastic upon arrival:

Everything seemed to be going well UNTIL......dun dun dunnnnnnn, the plague took over the Cohan household. Gabi got a nasty stomach virus, causing never-ending vomit (mostly on me). Jacob and I got strep throat, although only I was completely debilitated by it.

Thank goodness for beyond wonderful family helpers who took Ethan to Mira's birthday party while the sickos stayed back. I was glad everyone else was able to have a great time as expected!

Somehow, Mira turned NINE years old! Happiest of birthdays, big girl!!!

I was thankful to Mor for stopping by to keep me company. There was NO way I could get in the car to go to her home as planned.

By the end of the weekend, we had a 3rd strep diagnosis and a separate sinus infection. I would say the plague won. We'll try again next year.
