Bye-Bye, Baby Brook :(

Our beloved and beautiful Brook, who just turned 6 one month earlier, seems to have gotten acute renal (kidney) failure which developed rapidly over a few days, and neither giving her IV fluid injections nor any other treatment was going to get us our healthy sweet baby back.

Very very sadly, we had to say goodbye to our sweet girl who came in almost nightly to give Gabi goodnight hugs and kisses and allowed Ethan to chase and sometimes catch her.


Brook jumped on my bathroom counter once or twice a day to help me brush my teeth, nudged her fur across my wet skin as I emerged from the shower, and just wanted to lie with us each night as we watched TV.

She snuggled daily on the bed with Maggie, tried to sneak in some bites of table scraps if she could, and never gave us or her kitten sisters any problems adjusting from the start. We will love and miss her always.
