My Oh May!

May was quite bumpy with saying good-bye to our beloved kitten Brook, ichy stomachs, strep throat, allergic reactions, rashes, and some fevers. BUT we still packed in some fun times and good memories!

We'll start the blog post with fun we had with friends this month. We love any and all time we can spend with Miss Becca and beautiful Nora!

Ahhh, these 3 munchkins...Why are they facedown on a sewer grate?

Enjoying Fiona's 3rd Birthday Party!

Playing outside with Allison and Will at (their Mommy) Jessica's Birthday Party!

We got good playtime with Graham at Jessica's party as well!

One night, we agreed in advance to babysit sweet Joey while his Mommy and Daddy went out on their first date in SEVEN months! And yes, his aunt is that awesome.

THEN, Aunt Syssa had to travel for work AND Joey got a double ear infection, so he was gladly welcomed into Team Cohen's Day Care service where he was, quite literally, in good hands.

Gabi was super excited about sharing a stroller ride with her baby cousin!

We provide top-quality service at Team Cohen Day Care including...

a rousing game of "3-on-1 attack" (physical education)

story time! (brain education)

Speaking of Team Gilden, Ethan and Mommy helped take care of their kitties when they traveled over Memorial Day weekend. Ethan just has too too much love to give (and poor Abby just wasn't smart enough to run away).

After giving the kitties their food and love, we stole our blocks back and left.

20-month-old Ethan is quite fun! This month, he started putting 2 words together in sentences as in "all done mum" (aka milk) and "bye bye Mommy." He continues to be a momma's boy, demanding Mommy's attention as much as possible. Even still, this friendly sweet little guy will give hugs and kisses to just about anyone. His facial expressions and invented words entertain us daily, and we think he's so incredibly special.

Gabi got scarlet fever this month, causing some tummy pain and a face rash. She remained mostly smiles though and always beautiful!

It may have kept us from school, but it didn't keep us inside!

They're just as fun to eat, apparently.

Gabi composed, wrote, and performs this great original song all by herself. She sings it all the time. Early talent shines on!
You are my friend; yes you are!

Momming is not an easy job, but
there are these amazing moments
that make the rest of parenting
frustrations melt away.

In memory of Brook, here are her 2 kitten sisters trying to keep me from doing what I had planned on doing at the time:

"No Mom, you can't get any work done on the computer," says Nikki.

--> "No, Mom, you can't fold any laundry," says Maggie. -->

And now for your last few Team Cohen Marvelous Moments of May:

I'm sure this is the textbook recommended way to calm children before bedtime.
What is happening?

These kids are too cool!

I LOVE how much they love each other! See you next month.

Pool Party

Monday of Memorial Day Weekend was one of the few day times when Alyssa, Craig, AND Jon could all be at the same place at the same time. So we decided to go to the YMCA for a fun-filled pool party! Seeing that it was thunderstorming when we woke up Monday morning, we were pleasantly surprised to see the clouds clear and the sun greet us for a GREAT pool day. Baby Joey decided he needed a nap, so he didn't stay long, but we enjoyed what we got!
