Rona's Memorial Service

Our four-leggeds went down to 5 in August as Team Cohen said good bye to Rona, beloved hamster that was named after anything positive to have come out of COVID. She left behind her 4 cat and 1 dog siblings and will be missed dearly. While often the punchline of our house animal list, we know her memory will surely be a blessing. RIP, Rona Jewels.

To celebrate her life and remember her properly, we threw her a memorial service. We decorated with all her favorite people, enjoyed her favorite foods, and dedicated some memories and a dance to her honor.

As guests were settling in, participants were invited to create interpretive images of Rona using felt shapes.

The service was organized and led beautifully by Ethan who invited anyone who wanted to share happy memories of Rona.

We continued with a dance party...to "Hamster Dance."

(Puppy pause)

And finally, we concluded with enjoying all of Rona's favorite foods (and carrot cake for fun) and designed our veggies in the shape of Rona or "R."
