Jon's Birthday

Our 6-day annual Birthday Season kicked off as it usually with celebrating Jon. A few days early, we were grateful to sneak away with the help of some family babysitters. We enjoyed dinner, a thoroughly entertaining improv show ("The Sound of Made Up Music"), and some downtown donuts to sweeten the deal.

Preparations continued:

A few little helpers joined us in the afternoon of Daddy's actual birthday to help us with some ice cream cake consumption. (If they must...)

Doodle Dinner with Daddy's favorites (food AND people)!

Time for presents!

Happy Birthday to the incredibly hard worker without whom our lifestyle literally would not be possible. We are so grateful for you!

Awesome August - Some Summer, Some Not

When August first started, we had a quiet house with just one little guy.

Gabi and Ethan came back from a month away at camp. We celebrated their homecoming with coffee cake, and we enjoyed every last crumb!

It's good to be home.

When the CohGils were finally reunited, it was super sweet.

These six cute cousins can make a 3-block walk an epically entertaining adventure.

Ethan hosted our first cousin sleepover when Joey came to spend the night.

It was definitely a risky move letting them share a bed.

At least they got a few hours of sleep.

More CohGil love:

We went on a "Team Cohen date" to see Annie Jr. The kiddos took the date idea seriously and dressed to impress.

Our school district hosted a back-to-school event to celebrate the new school year.

Just because the school year was coming doesn't mean the weather was getting any cooler. We took to our backyard for some water fun!

Sometimes I wonder if the animals have any conscious thought that they're remotely helpful...

Bri ensures that the dishes are under control.

Dewey referees an epid Tic Tac Toe battle.

On August 24th, we celebrated new Kindergartner's 5.5! Happy half-birthday to Spenceman!
