Summer Continues the Rest of July

After 10 days away, Ethan returned home from his CYJ adventures. We only got a little glimpse from pictures that camp sent out, but I think he did pretty well.

My sweet boy ran to me as fast as he could on Day 10, and the reunion was very sweet.

The brothers were happy to be reunited. While Spencer enjoyed his special attention, he was glad to have his playmate back.

E-man came home just in time to help celebrate Aunt Syssa's birthday.

It's a good thing Ethan came home because it seems Spencer was getting quite tired of us...?

I enjoyed some special time with my baby who had been gone for a week and a half. One afternoon, I picked him up from camp and we went wading in a creek. (No bathing suits, just shirt tucked into underwear...)

Another morning, Ethan and I took Reggie on a sunrise walk, very early and very bright.

And now, we rest until Gabi returns home soon and the shuffle of the school year starts all too quickly again early next month.

Blue Hole Park

We discovered a new scenic lagoon in Georgetown, not too far from us. We certainly slipped on the rocks endlessly and enjoyed Blue Hole Park tremendously. We'll have to return again to introduce Gabi to our discovery!

While You Were Away

After the first week of being an only child, I asked Spencer if he prefers all the special Mommy-Daddy time or if he prefers when his brother and sister are here to play. The sweet boy thought about it and then responded, "Both." Lest you worry that this 3rd child was struggling on his own, he did just fine.

I tried to be thoughtful about some activities that the older 2 enjoyed when they were younger and may have grown out of. First up, Brushy Creek Splash Pad, an (old) favorite of ours!

Mommy decided that now that I work 30 hours a week from home, I could upgrade my office chair from the one that Daddy used in college (almost 20 years ago) that is falling apart. Big Spenceman helped put the new one together for me.

(The box was fun too.)

"Thanks for ordering my new cat toy!" Dewey says.

We also headed to the Austin Nature & Science Center.

The 3 of us did just fine.

Meanwhile, we truly hope that the pictures CYJ has shared represent just a tiny portion of the unbelievable time Gabi and Ethan are having there!
