Christmas Cookie Project

We are proud to belong to a Jewish congregation that cares for and supports the wider community. To that extent, they organize an annual Christmas Cookie Project to deliver boxes of cookies to emergency personnel who otherwise would have been with their families on their special holiday. Once again, my children and I participated in each related task from cookie making to cookie packaging to cookie delivering! (And a little cookie tasting...)

The packaging party had a full, busy factory of box filling, decorating, and wrapping.

Aunt Syssa and Joey joined us for our assigned deliveries which took us to 2 fire stations. For the cheap price of holiday cookie cheer, we entertained some fire fighters and got to tour their vehicles.

Spencer was acting a bit too shy to explore the trucks on his own, so we made sure he was included in the pictures somehow.

We also got to tour the ambulance with the help of a friendly EMT!

On to Fire Station #2!

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate. We are grateful to those who serve our community, even on special holidays when they may rather be with their loved ones. Firefighter Casey represented the fabulously friendly and gracious little guests they had that day:

(Check out the little lady behind the wheel.)
