Nora and the Nuts Contd.

After Nora's mommy had surgery, we volunteered (begged?) to take Nora while Miss Becca stayed home to rest and recuperate. We're devastated that the Hammonds family is moving from Austin in less than a month, but we were so thrilled that we could have our very first friend sleepover with our very most special first friend.

Gabi and I picked Nora up from school on Friday afternoon,
and we were ready for fun!

Nora got to experience the odd Jewish
traditions of Friday night dinner when you
do a few unusual things before eating.

Nora didn't know why we were holding up our
juice and singing in a foreign language, but she
went along politely anyway.

These 2 bath babies have experienced many many
baths together over their 5 years.

First sleepover a success! #nailedit

On Saturday morning, Nora was treated to a drive with Nana, Zayde, and the big cousins to their new house in Driftwood to watch concrete poured on the driveway (in their pajamas).

They got a tour of the outside of the house. (The inside was locked.)

Apparently even concrete pouring can't compete with piles of sand.

Before heading back to Austin, the kiddos got to explore the playscape at the clubhouse in the neighborhood.

When Becca and Seth tried to express gratitude to me for helping with Nora, I tried to explain what my day of babysitting actually looked like.

rough morning for me

surprise birthday party for Zayde!

We made sure to only offer the healthiest of foods while Nora was under our care.

We ended the afternoon with water play in the backyard. We had such a great time with Nora, and we're super sad that days like these are almost over.
