Free Lemonade

Ya never know what ideas Gabi will come up with. Sometimes, I'm a bad mom and try to distract her away, and sometimes I'm a good mom and I encourage and support it. When she decided she wanted to have a lemonade stand, I realized it wasn't a horrible idea. I asked if she wanted to give it away for money or give it away for free. Without hesitation, she answered for free.

THEN, Aunt Sandi announced her plans to join us in Austin for a weekend. With juicer brought from Houston, Aunt Sand helped make our lemonade stand happen! Gabi made a grocery list, and special-aunt-time headed to the grocery store.

Lemonade morning arrived, Aunt Sandi got out the "lemonade machine," and we were ready to juice! Ethan and Gabi both took turns placing the lemons in.

We mixed sugar into very hot water.

The sugar water was mixed with the lemon juice.

Time to taste!

We headed outside to set up our table in the driveway.

With signs hung, our group effort was coming to fruition!
(even if the sun glare prevented open eyes while smiling)

Happy customers started arriving by car and foot.

With some coaching from Aunt Sandi, these entrepreneurs perfected their marketing skills to track down customers- waving, jumping, and shouting about their free lemonade.

Success!

We were prepared with colorful straws and even had water bowls for our canine visitors.

And then Aunt Syssa walked over with our cutest customer of the day!

Father's Day and Lemonade Day proved to be a wonderful family day!
