One Day: All the Things

In between Erica's South American missionary travels, she stopped by Texas to spend Christmas with her family. She squeezed in a day to sneak on over to Austin to catch up with me and the family. We decided to spend the whole day in the kitchen practically making all the things that Erica associates with me. Keep in mind here's what happened even after we vetoed a lot of the list:

Belgian waffles with fruit

chocolate chip and chipless cookies

just half of our donuts selection

We took our eating adventures downtown because #donuts #chanukah #oil #austin #allthethings...

For as much as I can get frustrated with these 2 children for being...well...children, I am so proud of how loving, sweet, and friendly they are with members of family and chosen family no matter how much time has passed.

Erica came at quite an exciting time when we were lighting full chanukiyot for the last night of Chanukah.

The eating frenzy continued:

Erica snuck in some leftover latkes.

broccoli stuff

half-eaten pineapple stuff

And then came the point in all of our visits together when we had to take necessary awesome pictures:

Erica intended to go back that night but we got to talking, and one thing led to another...and she crashed in the guest room to drive back to Pipe Creek in the morning. So grateful for the visit!

(obviously one last necessary awesome picture)
