Chappy Chanukah 2017 Edition

It was time again for that 8 day winter holiday, technically considered "minor" on the Jewish calendar, but pretty darn exciting for any kid who gets fried foods and tons of presents!

Let the candle lighting begin!

Happy customers with their new gifts:

new Trolls slippers

The most excited kid of the night was definitely
Ethan was his brand new guitar strap!

Gabi wanted to show off using her Trolls
toothbrush while wearing her Trolls slippers.

Night 2 sans Daddy:

Presents that night came from Nana and Zayde!

Spencer's shape puzzle was yummy.

Disney lacing beads

a heart pillow for Gabi to decorate herself

Pause for "cute pictures of Chanukah shirts:"

Night 3 cuties:

That night, we were grateful for presents from Grandma and Grandpa!

How did his other grandmother also know that he would like lacing beads too?

All 3 crazies enjoyed Spencer's new bath toy.

all about any food cooked in oil!

Aunt Sandi's Chanukah present was represented!

Night 4 was even more special with Chanukah Shabbat, Gilden company, and LOTS o' LATKES! A new 3rd variation of latkes - potato zucchini parmesan - was introduced and were delicious!

Ethan tries to show the babies how to appreciate their first latke experience.

Night 5:

Cousins Noah and Sam chose a jack in the box toy for Spencer's first Chanukah.

Spencer was not so impressed. The big guys - they certainly were!

Noah and Sam got really great gifts for Gabi and Ethan too.

Gabi's mind was blown away with this
Crayola set of markers, crayons, and
colored pencils - Oh my!

Ethan's a happy camper with this dump truck.

On Night 6, Gabi and Ethan practiced the entire lighting while I was putting Spencer to bed. With 75% of holiday down, these 2 were experts by then.
Practice makes perfect.

Before lighting candles on the 7th night, we were inspired by PJ Library's easy sufganiyot recipe and made our very own easy breezy fried donuts!

Spencer was there showing his support by practicing his new standing skill.

YUM!!! Success!

Lighting the candles on the 7th night:

On the last night of Chanukah, we lit up the room with bright and full chanukiyot and happy faces.

a family affair

One more night of presents (from Nana and Zayde!) before we call it a holiday, phew!

super excited about her new Moana Lego set!

delicious new farm animal puzzle

new tee ball set for Ethan!

If you wanna know how I felt in live time...

We played with Ethan's new equipment the next morning! He was a natural.

Until the next fried holiday goodness! Happy Chanukah!!
