Austin Zoo

Being blessed with GORGEOUS birthday week weather, we decided to continue the celebration with a special trip to the Austin Zoo and Animal Sanctuary. We got there as many of the animals were still awake and eating breakfast, and Gabi loved it! We had a great time, saw a ton of animals, fed some goats, and made it home in time for nap!

These noisy birds were first to great us. Gabi would have
spent the whole time chasing them if we had let her.

It was great to get up really close to the animal habitats.

Ethan was there too.

Mr. Lion came right up to us, nudged the fence, and purred -
just a little kitten at heart.

Mrs. Lion also was up and close for her spotlight.

As soon as we walked up to this tiger exhibit, this guy immediately walked straight to us, stared through the gate, and pooped.
That's all Gabi talked about for the rest of the day...and week...

We bought a bag of food and got to feed some animals. They were starving, of course, because no other family with young kids had given them food ever...

Then, Ethan wakes up, and he isn't quite sure what's going on...

"Mmm, why is this thing eating my pants?"

"Ok, I'll go with it."

"I've got this now!"

Sorry, llamas, that's all we got.

After a lovely time at the zoo, we take some family selfies before heading home.
