Thanksgiving in Austin

After Nana threatened to cancel Thanksgiving this year, the three Texas sisters agreed it was happening in Austin whether Nana/Zayde came or not...So, they came.  We had a lovely weekend with yummy food, good company, and fun times; a lot to be thankful for!

Reading books and dancing are pretty funny too.

We are so thrilled that Uncle Craig and Aunt Syssa have moved into a house on the other side of our neighborhood, and we met them at the neighborhood park between our houses on a gorgeous Thanksgiving Day. Uncle Craig's parents were visiting from Houston as well.

Even Uncle Craig's Mommy and Daddy were in on the Gabi attention fest!

Craig showed us all off by proving that he had slight upper body strength compared to the 0 the rest of us contained.

Ethan has so much to learn about our crazy family, but for now, he is very supportive of his aunts' and uncles' (and parents'!) sports teams of preference.

With extra hands on deck, Mommy and Daddy sneak away for a special adults-only lunch! Something else to be grateful for! Which means Nana and Zayde had to be really really good with baby snuggles!

Then, Channukah came early for Gabi and Ethan in the form of obnoxiously large stuffed animals brought by a loving Aunt Sandi. Gabi loved them of course.

Before Thanksgiving dinner begins, Daddy gets some special kiddo time:

After consuming all that turkey, I guess the tryptophan kicked in the next day because they were sleepy.

Gabi wants to be just like her brother and read awesome stories on her tummy.

Even Nikki needed to rest.

Gabi and Ethan wake up to their brand new craft table, bought generously from Grandma and Grandpa, put together the night before by Daddy and Zayde.

Before Nana and Zayde had to return home to Atlanta, we tried out an indoor trampoline playground. Gabi didn't LOVE it, but Ethan enjoyed being bounced.

Gabi concedes to trying it but maintains her hold on Zayde's shirt.

We got rid of the big kids, so Ethan and Mommy could explore the bouncy fun.
