Birthday 2: Nana and Zayde

Our birthday month continued with another fantastic visit from Gabi's other fantastic grandparents. Nana and Zayde came in from Atlanta for their share on the celebration.

Our picture journey starts at a neighborhood playground on a gorgeous Friday afternoon.

Even friends Lauren and Graham came by on the sunny day to play!

There were so many fun things to do! We could bounce on the bridge, go down the slides, ride on the swings, rock on the ponies, dig in the rocks...Good thing there was more than 1 grandparent to play with!



On Saturday, Aunt Syssa and Uncle Craig join in on the fun with a lovely walk/hike through Austin leading to Pease Park.

This was apparently a significant rock... Only to Nana and Aunt Syssa though...

On Sunday, we take out Gabi's new birthday present from Nana and Zayde: her new ride-on car!

Nora and her parents joined us Sunday evening at the Thinkery. Both girls enjoyed the water room in their matching smocks.

The next morning, Gabi is introduced to cow's milk for the very first time. No baby bottles of formula any more for this big girl!

Being not quite sure what to do with this strange cold liquid at first, she spits it out. But then she decides quickly that it is quite yummy!

Monday rolls around, and everyone gets to continue hanging out! Daddy's off work! Aunt Syssa and Uncle Craig don't have to run back to their jobs because of the Martin Luther King Holiday. More family togetherness!

We head to Mayfield Park where we saw tons of beautiful peacocks, fish in pond, and some fantastic trees to climb!


Uncle Craig and Aunt Syssa figure out how to get up into a big tree. The problem was getting down.

Jon and I went home to put Gabi to sleep, but the rest of the crew carried on to Mount Bonnell, a fabulously beautiful look out point in Austin.
