There are just too many people who want to celebrate this amazing little lady's first year, so let the fun begin! Grandma and Grandpa visited us for the first installment of birthday fun and their very first trip to Austin also! We had a great weekend together.
The fun begins early! Gabi wanted to wear this great shirt for Grandma and Grandpa's arrival...but she got TOO excited and peed on it before they could see it on her. The picture sufficed.
You'd be surprised how many beans she ACTUALLY got in her mouth.
In the morning, we have fun reading, playing, and singing! Gabi had so much fun with her favorite Florida grandparents!
She was happy, and somehow, the monkey knew it!
We felt a little ignored...which was fine since we can just entertain ourselves:
After nap time, we ventured to the new Austin Aquarium. Gabi LOVED looking inside the tanks and seeing the pretty water animals.
That was a big lizard...
We went out to a super yummy brunch the next morning! Gabi had some great food and some great smiles too!

This girl is just really difficult to please, never smiles, never charms...
Gabi wakes up from her nap to a brand new birthday present, a Rockin' Rider Pony!
We head to the LBJ museum. Gabi learned a LOT about our 36th President.

We THOUGHT it was a good afternoon to go to the park, but it ended up being a GREAT afternoon to go to the pavilion at the park and wait out the rain.
Towards the end of the great weekend, we visited the Thinkery, Austin's new Children's Museum. There were so many fun things to do and explore!
The water room was a huge hit!
Thanks for coming to visit us, Grandma and Grandpa! We had so much fun. We'll miss you until we see you soon in March!
