The peacock was beautiful, whether his feathers were open or closed.
There were big goats, small goats, blind goats, deaf goats, 3-legged goats, 1-horned goats, and mostly starving, friendly goats.
Next up, the "small" pigs.
We met free-roaming Casper, the turkey.
We were informed that Casper likes bright colors and often goes for brightly colored nail polish. Little did we know, Casper would stalk our almost 6-year-old the entire time we were in that section of the farm.
While Ethan was innocently bending over to look at closely at the turkey, Casper took Ethan's hat off his head. Trying to recreate the perfect moment on video, Casper then used Ethan's shoulders as a stepstool. We got *that* on camera!
Meeting cows, calves, chickens, and donkeys:
We next understood why the other pigs were the "small" ones when we met the 900-pound gals and guys.
By the time we got to the long-horned sweeties, the 10 and under crowd had mostly lost their attention span.
We had great weather, great animal company, and a great day supporting a great mission!
