Feffuary 2023

With February, comes the annual National Fro Yo Day. We, of course, honored tradition.

I don't know what I thought it would be like, but this is what work-from-home life is really like:

Silly hat day at school brought out some really silly Cohens:

Silly Hat Day Sing Along (and keep in mind the videographer is walking backwards, with a dog)

We were excited about our Team Cohen Super Bowl party this month! We made (and ate) way too much delicious junk food.

This month's Treepocalypse led to a devastating amount of fallen limbs and branches (and sometimes entire trees). The piles and barricades built up very high, and we were all anxiously eager for the huge claw trucks to make their way to our streets!

Mommy and Ethan enjoyed a special bowling outing together.

Mommy and Ethan also enjoyed a VERRRRRRY early morning walk (which passed by a playground).

More nutty Ethan:

This kiddo had a birthday AND his first 100th day of school this month.

Little did Spenceman know that he'd be gifted his own roller skates when he tried on Ethan's and tried to see how they felt.

Silly bros:

Gabi's here too!

Spencer wasn't the only Cohen with a February birthday. My oldest baby girl Maggie turned 16 human years this month!

And in conclusion:

Spencer Birthday Birthday Birthday

On February 24, 2023, my not-so-much-a-baby-anymore/will-always-be-my-baby turned SIX YEARS OLD! He may still be a peanut and in the 1st percentile in height, but with the 2 extra inches and 5 extra pounds since last year - no one seems to be worried. (3' 5", 1% - 37 lbs, 4%)

Before we get too ahead of ourselves, we should recap what ALMOST 6 looks like:

the night before 6

ACTUALLY, FOR REAL 6!!!!!!

To help keep things special on his big day, Mommy visited Spencer at school and bought him ice cream. Then, Ethan was surprised and delighted to show up to the cafeteria and also receive an invitation up to the stage.

Fast forward past the amazingly successful Team Cohen party at the Splash Shack, and we arrive at Spencer's new signature cocktail, inspired by an article in Highlights magazine, that he has waited months and months to try for his birthday, affectionately named "Worm's Pool."

Happy Birthday ice cream cake!

On Saturday morning, Spenceman was STILL SIX, and we were STILL celebrating!

Big man requested waffles with chocolate chips for breakfast.

birthday brotherly love!

He was excitedly eager to open some presents!

a personalized treasure box from Grandma and Grandpa

Sweet Ethan came up with a great present idea for his brother that incorporated 2 of his favorite things.

Birthday weekend fun moved to Ethan's basketball game, but that didn't stop Spencer from getting special love and attention.

Party people moved to one of Spencer's favorite restaurants:

when a simple selfie starts to get really crowded...

Big guy was REALLY excited about his brand new, very own roller skates from Nana and Zayde!

With extra gratitude to Nana and Zayde who traveled back to Texas to help celebrate this really old man! Happy birthday, Spencer!
