Heading out on our hour-and-a-half adventure to camp! |
(With traffic, it took us a little longer...) |
We arrived just in time for dinner. She excitedly helped herself to the salad bar, and she was all set to be on her own.
As I drove away, I knew she was at a beautiful place.
Knowing our big girl was having a good time, the 4 of us that remained managed to enjoy our time together as well.
On Sunday morning, the whole family drove in to pick up our camper. We got there early enough to explore the campus, and the kiddos especially enjoyed the tree climbing.
It was time for the "Red Balloon Ceremony," the reason this camp is called "Camp Du Ballon Rouge." Each cabin got to announce their wishes before they released them in the air tied to red balloons. The great wishes ranged from "We wish camp could be a full week" to "We wish the pool had a heating system" to "We wish bullies would take time to understand us."
We stayed at camp for lunch, and then it was time to head back to Austin.
See you next year! |
...to be expected... |
