A Sad Goodbye

We acquired sweet Casey from a neighbor last July with the highest hopes that she would be an amazing addition to our family. And sure enough she was. She slept in Gabi's bed nightly. She watched TV with me daily. She greeted strangers socially, allowing even toddlers to pet her. Unfortunately, she consistently urinated in inappropriate places despite our best efforts to train her otherwise. With the heaviest of hearts and more tears than I've cried in a long long time, we made the decision for our family to say goodbye and offer her to a shelter to try to find a new home and a new family for this sweet girl.

Gabi and Casey had an especially special relationship, and Casey will be sorely missed.
