Good Morning America!

When Good Morning America had to pick one neighborhood to throw the "ultimate block party," it turns out one of our neighbors submitted a pretty compelling nomination! GMA's chief meteorologist Ginger Zee came along with country star Dierks Bentley to our very neighborhood to broadcast and perform live. We decided it would be a good idea to get our 3 young kids out of the house at 5:30 in the morning in 40 degree weather and had an AMAZING morning!

I totally geeked out over meeting a celebrity. I told her I watched her on Dancing with the Stars and that we were pregnant at the same time. (It turns out that fact was a lie.) She is now pregnant with her 2nd kiddo, and we bonded talking about how different pregnancy is the 2nd time around. We're now total besties, obviously.

And THEN there was the time that we were all in the right place at the right time to be standing RIGHT where the segment was being filmed LIVE! And when we went home, we watched ourselves on TV!!!

We were on live television! It was sooo cool.

The sun came up. The party continued. We all had a great time! What a cool, unique, and memorable experience.


I'll be honest - I wasn't familiar with Dierks Bentley before that concert, but a true highlight of the morning for me happened after all the television stunts had been performed. Dierks couldn't quite understand why he was waiting to perform more songs. He asked aloud, "Is this for TV or for the people?" It was a great concert and great fun to be so close to the excitement!

Thank goodness for naptime! We had 5/5 Cohens sleeping that afternoon.
