Cruddy Croup

Remember that time Ethan woke up screaming at 1:30 in the morning hardly breathing? Well, I may be sleep deprived, but I sure do. We showed up at the hospital at 2 am with a 102.1 degree fever. He had croup, stridor, and a pretty barky cough. They gave him an oral steroid and a breathing treatment. He did NOT like the breathing treatment. Since the first one didn't work, they gave him a second one. The doctors THOUGHT it had worked, but then...it didn't...and we needed a third breathing treatment. He still did not like it.

Because we needed a third breathing treatment, Ethan was admitted into the hospital to be monitored. FINALLY though, things settled down, and he let his body doze for a bit.

We got some really cool breakfast (#teddybearwaffle) and some really cool visitors.

Once again, he got himself a nap during an exhausting day, and then we finally got to go home in the afternoon. He still had the barky cough, but his fever was down and his breathing was much calmer.
