Sunshine State and Sachs Simcha

When cousin Rebecca was getting married in South Florida, we took that as an excuse for an extended visit with Grandma and Grandpa! People have asked us how it is traveling with 3 kids. The answer is that electronics are a godsend, and Spencer sleeps beautifully in the carrier. And when he wakes up, he's pretty happy:

After landing in Florida, we had such a fun and busy afternoon playing with Grandma and Grandpa that we didn't even pause to take any pictures.
Someone was a *little* excited to be in Florida...

On our first full day, we head straight for the beach!

Ethan pretended to be hesitant at first, but that didn't last too long.

The water seemed like the perfect temperature. I wouldn't really know...because...well...

After some well-earned rest, the girls got pampered with mani-pedis. Gabi got her very first professional pedicure, and the flower girl's nails were looking beautiful! That night, I got to sneak away to catch up with good friend Jared, and he got to meet Spencer too.

Thank you, Grandma!

Apparently, Spencer saw something
more interesting out the window.

With Mommy gone, Grandma and Grandpa got bedtime all to themselves. (Daddy stayed behind purely as the photographer, of course.)

Grandma LOVES being a grandmother:

We had fun at Funderdome, an indoor playground! (once again, too much fun to take too many pictures)

Afternoon snuggles:

On Saturday morning, we were so excited to get to play in TWO water areas! We started bright and early in Grandma and Grandpa's pool with Mommy.

Swim lessons work apparently.
so brave

In that very same morning, we changed into new bathing suits and headed out to Castaway Island for more water adventures!

Uncle Howard stopped by for a little bit to visit.

We found an alligator friend.

Gabi had fun on the slides!

That evening, we had rehearsal for the next day's wedding. (The flower girl, in particular, rehearsed perfectly!) We had a rehearsal dinner and enjoyed catching up with Daddy's extended family. The lighting wasn't so good so the picture with Uncle Harris will have to represent the rest of the family that enthusiastically amused our children.

The next morning, Gabi and Ethan weren't quite ready to get up yet.

We headed over to Uncle Jason and Aunt Alana's house to play with our Florida cousins.

All 6 Cohen Cousins:

(and again)

Aunt Alana tried to warn us that there weren't any good toys for our kiddos, but Ashlyn, Landon, and Rylan did a great job of finding things to do together.

Sunday afternoon finally arrived, and it was Gabi's time to shine. We were so grateful that cousin Rebecca asked Gabi to serve as the Flower Girl in her wedding. Having been unsure if she'd actually cooperate in the moment, I couldn't have been prouder when she participated beautifully. She sat patiently while a hairstylist curled her hair, smiled for any picture asked of her, and tossed those flowers perfectly. Most people were gawking at the bride (she looked nice too), but I was in awe of another girl in a pretty white dress.

I think both ladies were getting excited at this point.

It's go time- Game On! She was poised and serious, elegant and sweet.

She NAILED it!

We decided it would be best to leave Ethan and Spencer at home with a babysitter. Gabi, Mommy, and Daddy had a great night together celebrating with family!

Once the hard work was over, it was time to party! While the reception was getting set up and family pictures were happening, Gabi got an early start on the dancing.

Mazel Tov to Mr. and Mrs. Miller!!! I may have been focusing on Gabi that night, but the real celebration was for Rebecca and Joe. We were so happy to enjoy the simcha together.

With a little help from some earplugs, Gabi danced the night away and rocked hard!

Phew! After an exciting 5 days in Florida, it was time to head on back to Texas.

Cohens
