Jubilant June

We may have opted to put our 2nd born through surgery, but the recovery turned out MUCH better than expected. We traveled to and from Florida for cousin Rebecca and Joe's wedding. And we continued sneaking in extra Nana and Zayde time (they just can't stay away). Here's all the miscellaneous June fun we had.

We had Gabi's last day in her 3's class. We loved Ms. Linda and the class she's been in since she started preschool.

Of course, that meant it was time to start in her Pre-K classroom the very next week. When did my baby girl grow up?

One Saturday, we found Bubblepalooza downtown and had a fun morning with Uncle Craig and Joey!

Spencer decided that his arms and hands weren't completely useless this month! He began holding and licking his O-ball and other toys which was quite a sweet development.

woah, look what I can do!

He's a happy baby.

Spencer LOVES to be upright and LOVES jumping!

When someone figures out the "time slow down" invention, please let me know. Until then, Spencer turned 4 months old at the end of June and is getting chunkier, squealier, and yummier. At his 4 month checkup, he measured 24" (6%) and weighed 13 lb 14 oz (15%). If I look reallllly closely, there appears to be some new hairs growing on that balding head. He has also chillaxed tremendously in the car and doesn't cause quite the riding uproar as he used to, leading to a calmer experience for everyone.

"Wassup, ladies."

Man, oh man, these three are lucky they're cute...

We celebrated Daddy's Day in June:

Despite any chaos they may cause, these 2 love each other tremendously, and I am so grateful for their relationship.

"Mommy, take a picture of me
hugging Ethan," Gabi says.

Again, they're cute. Sigh.
just another ordinary day
didn't see that coming

This month in Gabi pushes brothers around (and one from the past):

June 2017: Sorry, Spencer

October 2014: Sorry, Ethan

We have been so lucky to have seen SOOOO much of Nana and Zayde lately. For grandparents who live across the country, they sure do travel to Texas a lot. Extra Nana and Zayde time often means extra Joey time as well, and we are grateful for extra cousin time as always.

If you're gonna visit Austin in the summer, you're gonna expect water activities. Here we we are playing in a YMCA outdoor pool:

Exploring at St. Edward's Park:

Smiles abound!

It's not that evident from most blog posts, but there are 2 adults who live here too and help raise these children and (try to) take care of house responsibilities.
Daddy's turn to be pushed around

"Mommy, you're not about to fold clothes like you thought," Maggie says.

It's a fantastic thing this girl does cute things and photographs beautifully. One day, this will be all I'll remember and I'll wonder what the stress was all about...

This kid, on the other hand, is getting wilder and crazier by the day. He remains cute, but boy, he's becoming the challenge. This month's developments include him drawing people and letters.

At the end of the month, we got together with friends to celebrate (mom) Alice's birthday. These kids have been friends since four almost 5-year-olds were babies, and the group has multiplied since then. This picture is missing 1-year-old Arthur, but it's pretty cute with the rest of 'em. It's great seeing them grow and play together.

I leave you this month with my children's eating choices:
