My Birthday May

Back when baby Mira was first learning to talk, she argued with Uncle Mitch that "My birthday May," so clearly his birthday couldn't also be in May. Somehow, it has been TEN whole Mays since 2007, and we were able to join her family in Houston to celebrate this big girl's TENTH birthday together! While we certainly missed our cousins in Boston (and Daddy), we enjoyed a really fun weekend with everyone else.

We got the weekend started the right way with ice cream at The Chocolate Bar!

On Saturday morning, Joey joins us, and the party begins.

We head to Mira's Cousins' Birthday Party at Levy Park. This was a fantastic and unique park with tons to do!

Gabi had a blast!


Ethan had a bit of fun too.

Joey may have preferred the splash pad on his own terms.

After good afternoon naps (Gabi may still have been napping), Aunt Sandi provided an art project for the littles to do.

The toddlers quickly took over and made the craft project their own.

Clearly, it was time to get out the hose and start cleaning these kiddos up.



We may have gotten clean, but apparently it was clothing optional.

Spencer was there too, getting plenty of lovin'.

Uncle Craig definitely had the special touch for baby smiles!


After dinner, we head back outside to cook up some s'mores treats!


Gabi and Jacob bonded over cleaning the gooey sticky up.

On Sunday, it was Mira's ACTUAL BIRTHDAY!!! Aunt Sandi cleared space in her living room for the big kids party later that day, which obviously meant little kids went to crazy town. We squeezed some more cousin play time before having to head back to Austin.


After a fun-filled weekend, Mommy and 3 babies somehow survive the ride back, and we were all very excited to reunite with Daddy! Whew!
