Saturday morning fun:
electronic babysitting/calm cousins getting along |
3 cousins + 1 ball = recipe for TEMPORARY fun |
Since Mira's birthday party isn't until the afternoon, we get the party started in the morning at a splash pad: our first splash pad of the season and Ethan's first splash pad ever. Fun was had by all. Gabi was running around like she owned the place, and Ethan wasn't intimidated in the least. Big cousins Mira and Jacob had fun as well (dumping buckets of water on unsuspecting family members), and everyone got along beautifully. (Don't you love when that happens?!)
hanging out with Aunt Sandi! |
Ethan, Mira, Gabi, and Jacob - all dry and snuggly |
Headed back to the car, Gabi finds creative ways not to walk. |
The afternoon arrives; the birthday girl shines; and it's time to start the roller skating party!

While the big kids enjoy roller skating, we have fun on the sidelines:
Mommy and Gabi | Nana and Ethan | getting his ski-ball on |
Time for cake! |
green-toothed Jacob | Gabi spent some time with the cake herself. | Super special Mommy-Gabi selfie! (You never know what you'll get when you turn that camera around) |
We wake up the next morning on Sunday Funday!
Gabi was really proud of herself for building these crazy crazy tall towers with the pegs. |

It also happened to be Mother's Day. I was grateful to spend the day with both my children and my own mommy as well!
Ethan enjoyed his first ever wagon rides this weekend at Aunt Sandi's house. |

I was once again lucky to sneak in a visit with Mor while in Houston for our short trip. We tried to get our own pictures too, but some others decided they weren't done posing yet.
Who knew we were so well color-coordinated? |
