Kaye Anniversary Weekend

In honor of Nana and Zayde's 40th Anniversary (December 23, 2012), all of their descendants agreed to spend a weekend together and we choose to spend it in gorgeous Loveland, Colorado at Sylvan Dale Ranch.  We had a great time filled with wagon rides, horse rides, campfires, geese, bunnies, and lots of togetherness! Aunt Sandi made a fantastic photobook to commemorate the weekend, but here are a few highlights from the fun trip for you blog fans!

Having just arrived, we all give hugs, explore our surroundings, and get comfortable. The best part about the merry-go-round is that "it didn't even cost any money!" said Mira.

All parties, old and young, were excited to be at the dude ranch.

The next morning...

A family who crowds in bed together...is forced to stay together...?

Later in the day, we get really excited for the WAGON RIDE... The little ones were waiting and waiting for the wagon, and when it just wasn't coming EXACTLY when they wanted it, Uncle Jon came to the rescue!

Luckily, not too long after Uncle Jon's wagon ride, we got another wagon ride with REAL horses!


The little ones got guided rides on some big horses while the adults hung out... Later, the adults took turns on their own trail rides!

It really was a gorgeous setting:

At the end of a great trip, we got to fly back with Nana and Zayde and play pass the happy baby...She got stuck with Zayde, and the game changed to hold the sleeping baby.

After such an EXHAUSTING trip, someone needed her beauty rest.
