Austin Adventures

Team Cohen traveled to Austin for a (slightly stressful, but) fun weekend in their future new home. We were supposed to go house-hunting, which we did, but we learned that we can't qualify to buy a new house until our North Carolina house sells. We were able to narrow down the area that we'll want to find our house, and we went apartment shopping and found a 2-bedroom apartment that we'll be "comfortable" in for a "short" 6-month lease. In the mean time, we got to spend time with Aunt Syssa, Uncle Craig, and even Uncle Craig's parents made it to the fun!

Gabi knows how to fly in style.

Aunt Syssa quickly discovers one of Gabi's favorite games.

mommy and daddy, Jan and Jay Gilden.

not bad for our future residential city...

Gabi shows off her moves;
it's too bad the weight of her cheeks pulls her down.

Join us on a photo-journey of my FIRST taste of FRIED OREO! Having always been on my bucket list, I was so excited when the waitress told us about the dessert option that was not mentioned on the menu!  Alyssa and Craig are still way ahead of us on the fried foods having tried such delights as fried PB&J and fried butter...

Figuring out a strategy...

Hmmmm, What do we think?

Mikey likes it!!!

Alyssa and Craig, who enjoy their fair share of food pictures,
are also in on the yumminess.

Alyssa's sweet kitty, Abby,
snuggles up on my tush.

Aunt Syssa teaches Gabi to hold the bottle all by herself! Look, Mom, no hands!

Gabi and her kitty cousin, Abby, become quite fond of each other...but then again, neither Abby nor Gabi are quite picky for friends.

Our new home also comes with a Kosher deli!
Thank you, Nana, for our family outing and "perfect pastrami" sandwiches!
