Right at the beginning of August, we had one king of the castle.
We enjoyed "Spesh Theater Friday!" with Spencer's favorite bud at the end of a 2 theater camp week. Aunt Debbie watched Shay dance and sing to Little Mermaid Hits, and CohGils watched Spenceman star as the father of Augustus Gloop in Willy Wonka.
After quite a lot of pretend sweets from Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, we celebrated our performance successes with some real treats.
Gabi came back from a successful second week at overnight camp.
Ethan returned home, and we were on the road to the beach within 24 hours. We were happy to all be reunited.

Devastatingly, we said goodbye to our beloved Maggie. Mommy and Daddy welcomed Maggie into the family over 17 years ago when we first got married. She has lived in 3 states, 4 homes, and put up with almost a dozen other 4-leggeds between other felines, a canine, and some rodents (in addition to the human siblings). She was the sweetest baby girl who never gave up despite so many physical challenges towards the end of her life. Even in the last couple of years when she sounded and looked horrible through her raspy breathing and bleeding face tumors, she insisted on visiting and keeping me company at work most days. She slept under the covers right against my legs for several years, whether or not Daddy wanted her there. We shed many many tears as we said good-bye, and we will miss her very much.
Which then left us with these rascals:
