Chappy Channukah 2023

It was that time of year where the brightness inside grows for a week and the joy increases with each oily food and wrapped gift. We surprised the kiddos by letting them open presents before dinner on the first night. They soon realized why.

Night 2: Shabbanukah

Ethan picked Reggie's gift.

Night 3 brought our annual CohGil Chanukah party:

rousing game of dreidel

Happy Chanukah, CohGils!

On Sunday afternoon, Team Cohen continued the celebration by frying up some dough and dipping it in sugar, just like our ancestors before us.

Night 4's gifts were VERY excitedly brought to us by Aunt Mandy and Uncle Mitch:

makeup kit

baseball bat weight

Night 5 may have been the coziest night of the holiday:

         Thank you,
Nana and Zayde,
for the oversized,
oversoft blankets!

Night 6 with Mommy and the Cohen Crazies:

Night 7 was the last night of Chanukah with the full Team Cohen together. We may have been missing a candle, but we had our full family and that fulfilled enough.

Daddy and Spencer traveled to Florida and celebrated the last night of Chanukah with Grandma and Grandpa. The remaining three of us lit some very bright and full chanukiyot to spread the beauty as far as we could.
