WaterColor Inn & Resort

One of my part-time jobs paid for all of their employees to visit the Florida panhandle at the beautiful WaterColor Inn & Resort for our annual all-staff meeting. AND we could bring a guest. Don't mind if I do! Becca and I reunited after more than 18 months and had a most glorious time together, watching sunsets and sunrises, talking and working, and sporting our vacation jackets (aka resort robes) because we weren't responsible enough to pack appropriately for the unexpected cold weather. If you listened to the waves reallllllly closely, you could not hear the sounds of any of my children.

The meeting's Welcome Reception took place on a terrace overlooking the gorgeous sunset. Welcome, indeed!

Most of our meetings took place during the first few hours of each day, leaving the afternoon's plans up to us. I took to the beach for my vacation office.

Nighttime team and bestie bonding:

Becca and I left our room quite early to see the sun rise over the Gulf of Mexico.

Becca and I took ourselves on a biking tour of Seaside, FL where The Truman Show was filmed.

Besties Mor and Becca coordinated amongst themselves to treat me to a sunset cruise in Panama City in honor of my birthday the month before. I was moved, touched, beyond grateful, and thoroughly delighted to partake in the experience. Mor was clearly there in spirit with us 100%.

We were told October is the best time of year for sunsets in that area. I 100% believe it.

On Becca's last morning in Florida, we went out on one last sunrise excursion, and we found another stop on The Truman Show tour.

On my final afternoon, I took myself on one more bike ride through Seaside, and continued The Truman Show tour, for fun.

Before Becca left, she wanted to make sure that I'd have time to relax on my final day at the resort. I told her that my biggest stress was deciding where to watch the sunset. After my bike ride, I took myself on a beach walk as the sun gently rolled into the waves. Pure magic.

As my fabulous time in Florida came to a close, I went out and celebrated a successful week with my manager Dione whom I've worked with for almost a year and never met in person before this trip.
