October 2023

October was busy, and really, it was a month that ends in 'y.' Mommy works 2 jobs remotely; neither of which she travels for. So wasn't I surprised to have an annual conference for both of them back-to-back with a cousin getting married sandwiched between. We made it all work, and we were grateful to our village for their ongoing support!

Because why not, here are some food pictures hanging out in the October collection:

Brianna - goes where she wants, when she wants.

Baby girl Regina turned THREE this month!

To celebrate, Gabi made Reggie a most special cake of sliced bananas, matchstick carrots, and broccoli crown all on a bed of creamy peanut butter. Spencer played piano accompaniment.

And in less expected animal adventures this month:

Spenceman adventures at Chuck E. Cheese:

Spencer's soccer season ended this month. Go Pink Panthers!

With a birthday gift from Aunt Mandy and Uncle Mitch, Ethan chose baseball batting gloves to help him get gametime ready and finish out his first baseball season with pizzazz.

We went out to dinner with Nana and Zayde and were treated to a surprise musical experience, featuring Elvis!

I leave this month with the following Team Cohen October Moments of Zen:

Halloween 2023

It was Halloween season again when people where whatever costume they want and apparently can enjoy as much candy whenever they want. Seems normal to me!

Guess the unicorn.

Gabi won the 5th grade costume contest at school's Trunk or Treat event.

The kiddos each got to choose their own pumpkin and jack-o-lantern design themselves. The 2 biggers got to use the sharp tools for the first time to help carve.

We had a painted pumpkin, a baseball pumpkin, and a one-eyed pumpkin.

At school on October 31, they get to dress up as storybook characters and showed them off in a parade for the parents. (Little one was my 'proudest!')

Ethan went trick-or-treating with his best buddy, Emiliano and felt like he was the coolest big kid around.

While Daddy was at work keeping the skies of Austin safe, that left 3 of us human Cohens, 1 Super Dog, and a whole gaggle of Gildens to go candy collecting through the neighborhood.
