We were dressed and ready to celebrate at breakfast. Somehow, our blue waffles turned green, but they were still yummy and patriotically pretty.

We headed outside to our driveway, where the neighborhood parade passed right in front of our house.

We strolled to the neighborhood park where we met up with the Gildens and the parade again!

Back at the ranch, Ethan and I decided we needed a fun way to cool off. Thanks to a recent gift from Grandma, we had reusable water balloons to pelt at each other.

Our evening portion of the celebration began back at our neighborhood park with a patriotic concert by the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble. After our picnic dinner, the 2 big kids found friends to frolic with, leaving me and Spencer left to enjoy by ourselves.

We were JUST getting started! The 4 vertical Cohens drove the short trek to Cedar Park to wait for dusk and fireworks.
