She's BAAAACK!

After the longest break Gabi and we have had from each other in her entire life, she returned home from Camp Young Judaea. We could not have been more proud of the success she had while away from us. After an incredibly challenging 15+ months with limited social opportunities, Gabi was submersed in a safe, healthy, positive, active, supportive, and Jewish environment for 3.5 weeks. The picture updates we received filled our hearts with happiness as we hoped they represented so many more and similar unphotographed moments of childhood bliss.

(This is my daughter who doesn't perform on command...with a group...)

These smiles make all the tuition money worth every cent.

Mommy and big girl Gabi were very excited to be reunited and back together.

Perhaps more importantly, though, were the reunions with each four-legged family member that happened immediately upon Gabi arriving back at our house.

Since we had missed Gabi's half birthday the week before AND we know how much CYJ loves their coffee cake, I decided that a surprise coffee cake was the perfect way to celebrate 8.5 AND a successful return from camp.

For the next couple of days, Gabi enjoyed some individualized parental attention while her brothers attended other means of childcare.

We're so glad she's back!
