Start to Summer

By May, Texans are usually moaning and whining that the pools don't open until Memorial Day. This year, it remained in the 70s and mostly rainy in the month of May. Nevertheless, summer persisted, and we have found a way to start sneaking summertime fun in.

Spencer went to a birthday party of one of his classmates at school. We certainly haven't done that in quite a long time, and this guy had a blast!

After a year of zero local pools, we went to the YMCA where we had not one, but TWO pools completely to ourselves. Apparently, the other families didn't get the memo that it was summer (and considerably COVID-safe), so we played at the indoor AND outdoor pools all by ourselves!



Outside of Driftwood, I don't think we have ever had this large of a pool just for our family. Team Cohen didn't seem to mind.

That time we were going to go to the pool, but the kid who hasn't napped in years fell asleep during rest time...

Sooooo, we did what any reasonable Texan would do and threw kids in bathing suits, brought out water, and invited the cousins over!

Cousins water play turned into cousins pizza.

Cousins pizza turned into cousins bath.

And of course, there's still these 2 charming besties...
