Glorious Growing Gildens

Being that cousins Joey and Shayna's birthdays are 2 days apart, it was time for our annual "Celebrate two beautiful Gildens for so many days in so many ways!!!"

To help kick off the weekend, Spencer joined Nana, Zayde, and Team Gilden at gelato. (4 Cohens were sadly unavailable to join.)

On October 12, big Joseph Reuben turned 4 years old!

We started at Chez Gilden bright and early with everyone's
hands helping make pancakes for breakfast. Then,
the adults ignored children and no more pictures happened.

The morning adventure took us to Texas Big Worm Farm. Within minutes
of arrival, we had goat feed in hand and were feeding the starving animals.

Texas Big Worm fun continued with saddling up and longhorn roping.

Apparently, the children missed the "1 pumpkin per child," but they certainly were working sweetly together.

More fall fun around the farm:

Later that afternoon, after many kids and adults had gotten ample rest, we needed to celebrate more and with ice cream cake!

Then, it was time for the annual painting-of-the-pumpkins.

The party continued the next morning at Joey and Shayna's joint Choo Choo Party and our beloved Cedar Rock Railroad. We were just having so much fun that I didn't take pictures. Here is a small sampling of what Aunt Syssa shared with us:

During naptime, I took all kiddos between 4-6 to a concert put on by Ethan's music school. We were delighted to enjoy cake afterwards and surprised by the sukkah in the entrance to the Unitarian Universalist Church.

If you thought Gilden children had been celebrated enough, you'd be wrong. On October 14th, Shayna Miriam's actual birthday, cousins and grandparents joined for fro yo to cheer on the official 2-year-old. Happy Birthday to all!
