Founders Day Festival and the Return to Driftwood

After 5 days in Austin figuring out Passover by ourselves, Team Cohen returned to the land of Driftwood and joined Nana and Zayde for the last night/day of the holiday.

In the morning, we enjoyed breakfast together and then went to meet some Gildens in Dripping Springs to celebrate Founders Day Festival, a celebration of heritage and pioneer spirit, honoring the founding of the community in 1850. (In other words, the kids rode on TONS of rides at the carnival!)

Gabi led the train in front.

Ethan was living his best life.

(We rode in more circles than Syssa and I were expecting.)

Next up, helicopters! The old ladies got dizzy again.

Monster truck:

I took the boys on an air balloon ride that did some twists and turns more than Joey and I were expecting.

Ethan had special aunt time with Aunt Syssa on his FIRST EVER Ferris wheel ride!

Spencer found an inflatable activity just for the little ones that he was perfectly happy with.

Gabi and Daddy were ready to take a rest while Ethan, Joey, and Aunt Syssa rode one more Dizzy Dragons ride.

After nap that day, everyone assumed it was time for the pool, and so it was. Then, of course, Spencer and Shayna took a bath together...so I had to take pictures. Sigh.

Clean cousins are cute cousins.

Joey and Ethan had their fair share of fun together too. (Note their forehead names in stickers courtesy of Gabi.)

After dinner, the kids each got as many helpings of the Passover "ice cream" as they wanted. When the huge bowl was finished, it was time to call our holiday and our visit to a close.
