Special Time

Daddy took Ethan out for some well-deserved special-boys-time at Mt. Playmore. Ethan was a happy camper getting Daddy's undivided attention and being the boss of the activities.

sweet giggles

happy sweat-tastic boy!

Meanwhile back at the ranch, Gabi came up with her own idea for dinner for those of us left at the house, getting what we needed at the grocery store and executing her vision with a mature pride. She cooked the eggs entirely by herself, which was a first for her.

Gabi had complete control of what she mixed and when, telling me what she needed me to get or help with. She showed me how to assemble the spinach-eggs into the tortilla (permitting the use of cheese on bottom AND on top) and rolled it into a burrito.

a delicious success for the big girl!

The night was a little too special for some.

April in Austin

Another month of cute randomness!

Why wait until the end of the post to highlight the kittens? After all, they were here first!

Nikki was grateful for the cooler brought back
from Atlanta with Pesadic leftovers.

Maggie was grateful that her sister learned how to stay
calm enough to pet her gently and sweetly.

Apparently, the options are clothes OR pillow.

Highlight on my baby boy, who is becoming a toddler and not such a baby; sigh. We had no new teeth pop through and no spectacular milestones to report, but he remains chatty (mostly 2 words, see video below) and super-duper cute. At 14 months, he's still trying to figure out if he wants his morning nap. He mostly does. Sometimes, he doesn't...

As long as Spencer has a graham cracker in each hand and a swing at the end, this baby LOVES his stroller walks.

Evidently, there is a certain shirt babies are supposed
to wear when visiting the Cedar Park Library.

"It wasn't me."

New service available. Offering low rates (aka-
works for graham crackers). Positive attitude.
Schedule filling up fast. (Not bad on the eyes either!)
Spencer refuses to sign, resorting to
communicating all necessary requests
with 2 words, "Ah'na" and "Ah'da."

Captain Underpants' baby brother

(Apparently, I went a little video-happy this month.)
He thinks he's pretty funny.

Peekaboo!

So obviously, these photos had to happen...just to make sure the collage could be completed.

Ethan was happy with a private playground date with Mommy one afternoon.

That moment your sweet boy wants to give you a big, wet kiss, but also he's covered with macaroni-and-cheese-face...

This month in "Ethan Wears Whatever He Wants," guest-starring Super-Shayna!

This month, we started gymnastics classes at the YMCA close to our house. Ethan and Gabi are very enthusiastic about it so far!

And this was before his training began!
It's pretty entertaining.
Day 2 and already improving balance!

Sweet moments getting ready for bed:

Sigh...
a preview of what's to come, I suppose

Mor snuck in for a girls weekend in Austin, and I got to sneak away to join them for a dinner out!

We enjoyed a playdate and picnic with Maven and Addi one Saturday morning at Robinson Park!

I so rarely take pictures of the sad moments. When I do, it's usually becuase they're cute. But I especially love the sweet, happy cute moments!

Spencer and Gabi share a moment.

Gabi shows off her face painting from school.

"Take a picture of me, Mommy."

Celebrating Israel's 70th Birthday at a community-wide Yom Ha'atzmaut Celebration at the JCC

We enjoyed celebrating Jessica's and Steve's wedding reception at the end of the month (even though the happy couple are not pictured themselves).

Gabi, Graham, and Ethan spent a long time enjoying the fire pit.
