Heading out from the Austin airport, these 2 seemed to take care of themselves:
We were so fortunate with gorgeous weather while we were in Florida! On our first morning together, we ventured to Butterfly World to explore. We saw beautiful colors, both on the butterflies and the plants, and it was fun to walk around and observe.
(Note Gabi's very appropriate shirt for her visit to Butterfly World...)

That afternoon, Uncle Jason, Aunt Alana, and fam came over to play and eat. Gabi and Ethan were SOOO excited to play with cousins Ashlyn, Landon, and Rylan. They had such a great time together.
1) These are beautiful shots of the cousins. 2) Ethan had fomo. 3) Someone needs to photoshop Rylan. |
Gabi just LOVED her time with all three cousins!

We can't forget to mention cousin Rebecca who dined with us as well! |
Grandma Millie and Poppy were able to join us, giving us 4 great generations of Cohens!
The next morning we ventured down to the Miami Children's Museum! We stayed very busy with lots of engaging exhibits, but we captured a few glimpses into our fun.
We got Kosher Chinese (YUM) for dinner, and my kids used chopsticks better than I can...
Day 3 was finally BEACH DAY!!! Gabi was 100% a water baby and LOVED it. Ethan was OKAY with the sand but wanted nothing to do with the water. Either way, we all managed to enjoy ourselves on a gorgeous morning at the beach.

Gabi was just as happy and excited as could be to jump and run in the waves with any adult who would take her, giggling and squealing in delight the whole time!
Ethan, on the other hand, never quite became fond of the unpredictable water thing and preferred walking and playing in the sand.
The next morning, we take some bread and go to the park to feed the duKHs! (...which meant Ethan ate a lot of bread, and the ducks got some...)
BUT WAIT- THERE'S MORE! We were having a good enough time, but THEN a mommy duck and her 3 tiny ducklings came around the bushes and swam RIGHT up to us! Gabi and Ethan were so incredibly excited to see the baby ducks, and I think the adults were pretty impressed too.
The party continued at the park playground:
We were able to drive to Miami to be with Nanny for Shabbat dinner on Friday night. Gabi warmed up to her immediately and enjoyed riding on her scooter, helping her with her walker, and sweetly smiling and chatting with her. Ethan was a bit more skeptical but still managed to be friendly.
On our last morning in Florida, Uncle Harris, Aunt Gail, and cousin Brittany drove in from Ft. Myers to visit with us. We dipped in the pool, had kosher deli on the patio, and enjoyed great company. (You'll have to accept the token picture of Uncle Harris as representation for the rest of the family.)

The end of the week arrived. We had so much fun with Grandma and Grandpa and will miss them until our next visit!
Our bags are packed; our jammies are on; peace out, Florida! Thanks for the great trip.
