January 28th, big girl's ACTUAL birthday, arrives, and we spend the morning playing at Little Land Play Gym. Daddy was off work in the morning, so he got to play with us too!

Where's Waldo? |
After nap, we have an ice cream party at Amy's on a lovely afternoon.
For some 17-month-olds, eating ice cream is very serious business. |
Nana and Zayde were also pretending to help take care of baby Joey while Aunt Syssa was out of town with work... |
Uncle Craig shows up to the party to join us for dinner, and the responsible adults partied indeed while the baby slept. |
Uncle Jon gets some baby Joey snuggles the next day:
On Saturday morning, our Houston cousins had arrived and we go to "Mira/Jacob's Gabi Birthday Party" at Foodie Kidz to make and decorate our own cakes.

Some great group shots from a great weekend of cousin, aunt, uncle, grandparent, sibling, and parent love! |
On Sunday, we get ready for Gabi's birthday party with friends, which of course means we need to ice the cupcakes, which of course means these 2 get icing spoons to lick...
...which then means shove icing spoons in Daddy's mouth.
Another day of gorgeous 'winter' weather:
Gabi woke up Monday morning asking, "What party are we having today?" Luckily, Menchies was celebrating National Frozen Yogurt Day, so we in fact, did get to continue celebrating one last time. Phew!
