- cruise along furniture
- crawl up stairs like a pro
- say his nasal consonants /m/ and /n/ (Here comes "mama"!)
- take a few steps to keep up with his push-walker
- whine in this terrible new high-pitch whiny voice
- rake up finger foods to feed himself
- grow TWO new teeth! (5+2=7!)

Ethan and baby friend Addison, giving sweet kisses |
In Gabi world, she continues to turn more '2' every day. She can cross her arms and pout "NO!" in an instant while she says "Yes, please" and "No, thank you" unprompted. She is getting more shy at first but will open up and be incredibly friendly within 3 minutes. Gabi's language continues to grow in sophistication, and her body is stretching as she's growing taller and losing some of the baby belly.
This month, we saw the debut of Gabi's photography when I got my camera back from a 2 minute absence. I see a real career potential here:
You'll notice the start of Gabi's "CHEESE" face for photo posing, but I'll take that over the stubborn, blank stare we used to get!

This month, we saw the beginnings of some really cute social interaction between brother and sister. Gabi has been mostly sweet with Ethan from the start, but they are now making each other laugh and starting to play together. Of course, their relationship will grow and blossom, but it has been fun to watch a small glimpse of sweet moments to come.
The two months of rain are behind us, and the hot hot Austin summer sun has returned. That means lots of water fun!
Sometimes, the whole family gets along nicely too (and looks good doing it)! |
At the end of the month, my 2 poor babies both got some icky viruses, so we spent a lot of quality time with ourselves to spare our friends of such plagues. |
