August 2014 and Daddy's Birthday

By the end of August, Gabi was 19 months old, we celebrated Daddy's THIRTIETH (!!!) birthday, and we were about ready (?) to become a family of 4. Here are some pictures to show for the fun. (The commentary would probably have been more specific had the author of this blog published this post closer than 2 months past due...)

It's always a good time when we hang out with Becca and Nora!

As shown in earlier pictures, this little lady enjoys her share of cleaning and helping. If only she did bathrooms...

Clearly, we had to get her very own special cleaning utensils.

At 19 months old, Gabi is cute, extraordinarily special, and it's hard to capture all the sweet moments. Here are a few to share:

The end of the month arrived, and Jon's 30th birthday arrived! His birthday may likely get overshadowed for the rest of his life, but for this one, we took time out to celebrate! We started with cake the night before since Jon would be working most of his actual birthday:

Mommy made Daddy his favorite kind of cake: vanilla vanilla vanilla

Gabi helps Daddy blow out the candles: 1 for each decade!

Knowing how much Daddy would really really love balloons, we picked out some special ones just for him.

Daddy got 30 donuts for turning 30.

Then, of course, we ate them all in the same day...Not sure if we'll make it to 31...?

Mommy wanted to help Gabi record a special message for Daddy...It took some patience on Mommy's part, but we finally got one that was "good enough." Enjoy that plus some of the outtakes that preceded it. Happy Birthday, Daddy!!!

Special Visitors

With the arrival of our Baby Shower, we had a couple special visitors come and play.  First, Aunt Mor came. We only caught a couple pictures, but they're pretty darn cute, and you can see how happy Gabi was!

Then, Nana stayed a couple days after the shower to visit. We had fun at Zilker Park, riding the "choo choo" and watching/throwing Cheerios at the birds.

Gabi, queen of the birds

We played at the All Abilities Park in Round Rock:

Gabi had fun in the music station. Here, she bangs on some drums.

Nana and Gabi had fun digging in the sand together.
