Houston and Mira's Birthday

Gabi and Mommy had a few great excuses to escape to Houston for Memorial Day Weekend, so we went! Unfortunately, this meant leaving Daddy behind 2 weekends in a row (silly air traffic controller's work schedule). Fortunately, this meant 2 weekends in a row with Nana, Zayde, Aunt Sandi and family fun! Aunt Syssa and Uncle Craig got to play with us too!

On Saturday, we had a great time picking fresh strawberries. Cousins Mira and Jacob, the farming experts, knew exactly what to do right away. At first, Gabi observed the process.

Gabi quickly caught on and figured out how to pick the strawberries, find the cousin with the bucket, and drop her freshly picked treasure in. She loved it!

the whole strawberry-picking gang!

When we were done and ready to go home, Gabi may not have gotten strapped into her carseat safely...Maybe we weren't ready yet...

After cleaning off the dust and dirt from the farm and certain babies taking a nap, it was time for Mira's Big Girl BIRTHDAY PARTY! She just turned SEVEN!! When did that happen?

Happy Birthday, Mira! We're so glad we could come to your celebration.

These 2 lady cousins have always played together nicely. This weekend was no exception.

We went to Aunt Syssa's pool and lazy river on Sunday. A little baby dried off the natural way afterwards.

The post-pool sibling bubble bath may have gotten a tad out of control.

Perhaps someone else should have participated in the bath as well?

On our last day together, we relax, Nana photobombs a selfie, and Gabi shares her cousin's ice cream. All in a good day's fun!

Alyssa suggested I trim the video. I liked it better with the camera selfie, Jacob dancing, Gabi jabbing more ice cream, Mira not caring/noticing/sharing nicely with her baby cousin, and all around Kaye family fun going on the whole time.
