Gabi in ATL

Gabi had a most special CNZ (Camp Nana Zayde) when she was privileged enough to spend 10 days in Atlanta, unlike any grandchild before her. She could sleep when she wanted, eat what she wanted, and had a great week all about her! To start, Gabi succeeded on her first ever flight as an unaccompanied minor. Phew!

Gabi was immediately accepted by two of Nana's kitties.

CNZ took a field trip to a drive through safari.

Gabi seemed to be in her element, on her terms.

There was crafting:

Field Trip to the Fernbank Science Center:

First time for everything: Gabi wanted to try the Impossible Burger from BK.

Gabi went to the neighborhood pool most afternoons.

Over the weekend, two celebrity guests came to visit from Houston, just in time for Gabi's half birthday ice cream!

Group field trip to the Atlanta Aquarium:

Stopping by the world-famous "Big Chicken" in Marietta and visiting the Leo Frank memorial:

And last, but not least, black light mini-golf:

Camp Young Judaea - Summer 2023

Big Ethan attended his THIRD summer at CYJ this year. He was down to 1 big cousin and no siblings (other than the younger cousin who excitingly joined camp for 2 days). I imagine that he had a BLAST based solely on the pictures camp shared. That boy knows how to find the camera, and his face does not lie.

It looks like both cousins got to help raise the flags on the same morning.

Daily pool time!

The fun didn't stop when the sun went down.

Beautiful cousins:

Ethan's age group was treated to a "Kosher Hunt." They learned about kashrut rules, symbols, and types of food and then went to the grocery store to buy snacks for a kosher snack party. Sugar rush!!!

Shabbat is a special time at camp!

Dancing his heart out at rikkud after Havdalah:

So many sports!

Ethan was on the blue team at Maccabiah (Color War). With the Shrek theme, he was Team Donkey!

(Yes, that's Ethan pouring syrup on the Blue Team Captain during their skit.)

He joined the "Jam Band" chug (elective) on the last week.

These smiles from afar make it all so worth it.
